TrendLabs detected a new ransomware called TROJ_PGPCODER.A recently. This virus hides in some web pages and invade the computer when users browsing those web pages. Some of the files will be found unreadable after infected. Moreover, there will be a message displaying as ：Do you want to read your files? Give me US$200 and I will give you the decoding programme after I received the money.； TrendMicro said that the TROJ_PGPCODER.A installs to the recipients computer by some popular method used in spyware. Users are recommended to install an anti-virus software with a build-in ：spyware clearing system； such as PC-cillin2005. Such software will automatically detect and remove the malicious software which will capture personal information, for instance, spyware, ads and cookies. To avoid the invasion of Trojan when browsing web pages, users have to keep the browser version up-to-date and install the newest security programmes. |
